In October 2013 Christian Danielsson was appointed Director-General for Enlargement at the European Commission in Brussels.

Under the political guidance of Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi , Mr Danielsson manages the Neighbourhood and Enlargement negotiations Directorate General within the framework set out in its mission statement.

As part of the Commission's commitment to transparency, Directors-General publish information on meetings held with organisations or self-employed individuals.
