Supporting the future of Syria and the region

The European Union organized the Seventh Brussels Conference on ‘Supporting the future of Syria and the region’ on 14 and 15 June 2023, in Brussels. The Ministerial meeting took place on 15 June. A Day of Dialogue was held on the preceding day bringing together civil society from Syria and beyond, decision makers, and operational partners to engage in dialogue on Syria and the region as well as on its humanitarian and resilience challenges.
Support for Ukraine

The EU stands united in its solidarity with Ukraine and will continue to support Ukraine and its people together with its international partners, including through political, financial and humanitarian support as long as needed.
The EU has reacted swiftly and decisively against Russia’s aggression by adopting unprecedented packages of sanctions targeting the Russian economy and financial system, the Kremlin media machine and its corrupt elite.
