2022 Enlargement Package
On 12 October 2022, the European Commission adopted its 2022 Enlargement Package, providing a detailed assessment of the state of play and the progress made by the Western Balkans and Türkiye on their respective paths towards the European Union, with a particular focus on implementing fundamental reforms, as well as clear guidance on the reform priorities ahead.
Support for Ukraine
The EU stands united in its solidarity with Ukraine and will continue to support Ukraine and its people together with its international partners, including through political, financial and humanitarian support as long as needed.
The EU has reacted swiftly and decisively against Russia’s aggression by adopting unprecedented packages of sanctions targeting the Russian economy and financial system, the Kremlin media machine and its corrupt elite.
The European Union – together with the international G7+ Price Cap Coalition – have today adopted further price caps for seaborne Russian petroleum products (such as diesel and fuel oil). This decision will hit Russia's revenues even harder and reduce its ability to wage war in Ukraine
Charles Michel, President of the European Council, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, and Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met in Kyiv today for the 24th EU-Ukraine Summit and issued the following statement.

Today 2 February, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen is travelling to Kyiv, Ukraine, for a College-to-Government meeting with the Government of Ukraine, together with 15 other members of the College of Commissioners.
